Kailua Kona Web Design

AuraDev is a Portland based web design and development firm looking to branch out into Hawaii. This web page is a test to see what level of demand for our services might be in Kailua Kona.

AuraDev helps companies connect with customers online. In today’s high-speed world many travelers are going straight to Google to find things to do in Kona. We offer web design and web marketing services to help your website come up first when someone search for “Kona [insert your business type here]”.

You can connect with those customers and grow your business by having a well designed and well positioned website. Your website must look good AND show up in Google searches. AuraDev can help you with that.

For now we must telecommute, but hopefully soon we will have an office in Kona or Hilo.

If you would like to discuss web marketing, please call us at 503 830 4313 or email us. We will be giving steep discounts to companies located in Hilo or Kona as we build up our portfolio.

Web Marketing on the Big Island might be tough when there are very few people that understand it that well.

Hi Damon, thanks for the comment! I would think that there are a lot of tourist industry businesses that could use help but probably aren’t aware of how effective it could be… could be a good opportunity for them to connect with customers from the mainland.

I think you’re both wrong; our experience with tens of web development clients in Hawaii is that they understand how effective the web is, much more so than Mainland businesses that get proportionally fewer customers from their websites. The problem with using Mainland (or international) companies is that there is a huge risk premium doing business with a company that is not local. We have numerous clients who thought they were getting a good deal by choosing the less expensive Mainland provider and end up with a poor design experience, a non-functioning website, and the inability to seek redress in a court. In the end, they wasted their money and time and have nothing to show for their efforts.

Brian im not sure you get it… This person is looking at Kailua Kona.. This is the Big Island but least traveled too. Some of the bigger firms value professional design. However again, this is the Big Island. As a new company i am growing in Kailua for a few reasons. One, im cheaper then most as a majority of the clients here cannot afford a $5000.00 website. Two, most web designers here over charge for the CMS system or their design services. Three, i know everyone in the business community and im well connected.

If you re-read my post, you’ll see it’s all about reducing risk for the buyer. Sure, there are always those who don’t want to look at their business as a long-term endeavor, but a company serious about its future will seek a reliable and professional web design and online marketing provider. I would argue that choosing an established, professional, local provider will likely result in better service and a better product while greatly reducing risk.

You indicate that smaller companies don’t value professional design, you’re cheap, you don’t charge for CMS or design (??) and you’re well connected. Well, one of those beliefs might provided you with a basis for long-term success. Unfortunately, the others beliefs and practices are not conducive to a business that wants to be around for a long time.

We sincerely wish you all the best.
